OMG

Or how I realize I have done a woefully poor job updating this blog.
This past Saturday their Majesties asked if I would join the order of the Laurel.
Yeah it's insane and I'm completely still in shock. It's chaos here but I felt if there is anyone reading this I should at least put something out there

A year of big projects

I've decided this year I'm going to focus on the big projects I haven't dated to take on because so often it feels like you must present something new at every event. At this point is rather do the big stuff thestuff that takes months to do and it will be a year of personal growth.
I'm currently on day 32 of working on the lace towel I have 2 squares left on the band and thenI start the points which I admit scares me but I will learn from it and my art will be better if I push myself

I'm also planning on taking on hand sewing a full outfit by hand naturally I hope to add as much lace as possible- I'm having lots of fun with it!

Partlet
Camicia
Flat front bodice
Lantern sleeve
Wide sleeve coat
Necklaces
Girdle
Earrings
Gloves
Hat. *there are some concerns the hat may be presumptuous of sca rank so jury is out if I'll attempt it
Veil

I'm also thinking of doing a similar gown in a diffrent color scheme with a doublet over dress but we will see how this one goes- maybe I'll save that for the next IRCC

Stonegate

I see I have not been great in keeping my blog updated lately. The main reason for this is since April the area I've been playing with have been working on becoming a shire. It's been a lot of hard work and I admit things have been moving very fast. This split while supported has not been easy. We are basically going from maybe we should do this to official in 6 months (if the heraldry gods are with us and pass our name the first time through). We are also doing this with pretty much no support from the barony besides a go away don't let the door hit you on the way out. With the issues the barony has been dealing with the last two years we couldn't expect anything diffrent. So that's my excuse- I've got some projects in the hopper and will be posting them soon
